Karl Road Branch of Columbus Metropolitan Library opens Sept. 9

The new Karl Road Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library will formally open on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 3.30PM.

The CEO Patrick Losinski and the Columbus Metropolitan Library Board of Trustees, alongside other community leaders will officially dedicate the “newest library” in a short ribbon cutting ceremony.

“This new building represents a significant investment in the community – with a larger School Help Center, a new Ready for Kindergarten area, a larger children’s area, individual and community meeting rooms and so much more,” said CEO Patrick Losinski. 

The Karl Road Branch, along with Gahanna and Reynoldsburg is part of the Phase II of the Columbus Metropolitan Library aspirational building program to bring 21st century libraries to the communities.

The new building of 40,000 square feet will replace the current which is 20,000 square feet.

The Phase I of the aspirational building program delivered libraries to 10 communities.
